MRS. H. NIEBAUM DIES AT FREMONT

FORMER FONTANELLE RESIDENT, 64, BURIED ON WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Caroline Niebaum, 64, for years a resident of the Fontanelle community, died at her home in Fremont Sunday noon, after having been in ailing health for some time. Her condition, however, had not been considered serious and her death was sudden.

Mrs. Niebaum was born August 20, 1868 at Woepple-Lippe, Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christoph Hilkemeir. With her parents she came to the United States in 1883 and moved to a farm near Fontanelle. On March 5, 1886, she was married to Henry W. Niebaum. She was a member of the Salem Lutheran church of Fremont.

Surviving her are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Anna Theis, of Lodgepole; a son, Louie of Fremont, a sister, Mrs. August Happel of Plainview, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from a Fremont funeral home and at 2:30 at the Fontanelle church. Burial was made in the Fontanelle cemetery.
