Henry Jacob, aged 52 years, a prominent farmer of this vicinity for many years, passed away Monday morning at 7 o’clock at the Nicholas Senn Hospital at Omaha after undergoing a very serious operation for cancer of the stomach. He was born December 3, 1878 at the home place where he has resided all his life.

He was married to Miss Mathilda Laaker on February 27, 1902. To this union one son and two daughters were born. His wife died Dec. 23, 1912. A son, Elmer died in 1921 at the age of 17 years. He was again married on January 21, 1914 to Miss Mabel Lund. Eight children were born to his union; two of them Marivn, 1 year and Marian, 2 ½ years having preceded him in death. The following are left to mourn his loss. His bereaved wife and the following children; Mrs. Elsie Ahlemeier, Lilly, Alvin, Norman, Edith, Ethel, Donald and Joyce. He also leaves a son-in-law and eight sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at one o’clock at the home and 1:30 at the St. Pauls Lutheran church with Rev. Wolter, officiating.
