HAROLD COLGAN DIES IN DENVER

RITES HELD AT CATHOLIC CHURCH TODAY FOR FORMER BLAIR YOUTH, 21

Harold Colgan, 21, former Blair and Herman resident, died Monday in a Denver hospital, where he had been taken ten days before suffering a ruptured appendix. The youth had been in Colorado for about three years.

His father, George Colgan, and his sister, Miss Ruth Colgan, both of Blair, were in Denver when he died, having left for that city as soon as they learned that he was seriously ill.

The youth was born at Herman June 10, 1910 and received his education in the Washington county schools. Before leaving for Colorado, he had been employed as a farm hand by Don Metzler of Herman.

He is survived by his father, George, of Blair; two sisters, Ruth and Ethel, and a brother, Ralph, all of Blair.

The body was brought to the Campbell mortuary here, and funeral services were held at 9 a.m. today at St. Francis Borgia Catholic church here, the Rev. George F. Jonaitis officiating. Interment was in Herman cemetery.
