FORMER HERMAN RESIDENT DIES

Word was received here by Mr. and Mrs. L.D. Long of the death of their niece, Mrs. Ray Stricklett, 37, of Omaha, which occurred Monday, March 6, at her home in Florence.

Funeral services were held at Florence, Wednesday afternoon, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery. The deceased spent her girlhood days in Herman; the family leaving here over twenty years ago. She will be remembered as Miss Ada Fassett and was one loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband and two sons, other relatives and many friends.

MRS ADA STRICKLETT PASSES AWAY, OMAHA

MIDLAND GRADUATE WELL KNOWN AS MUSICIAN AND WRITER; NATIVE OF CRAWFORD

Mrs. Ada Stricklett, 37, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Fassett of Lincoln, died at 9 o’clock Monday morning at her home in Omaha after an illness of several days.

Born in Crawford, Mrs. Stricklett was a graduate of Midland college. She was an accomplished musician and writer and many of her articles appeared in women’s magazines. For over ten years, Mrs. Stricklett served as assistant postmistress at one of the Omaha substations.

Besides her parents, survivors include two sons, Donald and Jack; two sisters, Mrs. Alida Whitaker of Iowa City and Mrs. Kathryn McCabe of Lincoln, and a brother, Carlton, of Bakersfield, Cal.
