February 17. 1910- Arlington Review- Eddy Holland

News reached this place Sunday of the death of Eddy Holland, which occurred at the Tekamah Hospital the same day. The funeral was held on Tuesday, the interment taking place at Herman. It will be remembered that some weeks ago, Eddy accidently shot himself in the knee while out hunting with his cousin at Herman. He was taken to the Tekamah hospital for treatment, but unfavorable symptoms set in with the result above noted. Eddy has lived in Arlington for a number of years with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Holland, and was well thought of by all who knew him. He had gone to Herman on a visit to relatives, and while there he with a companion had gone on the hunt which ended so disastrously. The funeral was largely attended Tuesday. His stricken parents request the Review-Herald to extend the thanks of the entire family to the Ladies Aid Society, the Epwarth League and the pupils of the first three rooms of the Arlington school for the handsome flowers contributed on the occasion of the funeral. Eddy would have been 17 years old in May.
