Mrs. A.D. Willison died at her home near California Junction, Iowa February 25th after an illness of only an hour, aged 76 and 9 months. The remains were brought to Arlington Monday and laid to rest in Arlington cemetery, Rev. Wm. Esplin of the M.E. church officiating.

Susanah Sawyer was born June 21, 1833 in Butler County Pa. and was united in marriage to A.D. Willison, March 2, 1856. To this union were born eight children- 5 sons and 3 daughters, all as follows: Mrs. Hiram Brady and Mrs. John Ray of Anamosa, Ia., Mrs. Abe Sheard of Omaha; John Willison of Ardmore S.D.; McCellan and William, Arlington; and Hiram and Hutchison at home. She is also survived by 36 grandchildren. She joined the Christian church in 1863, in Jackson County Ia. And was a faithful follower of her Master up to the time of her death. Mrs. Willison’s death was a great shock to her family and friends, as she was sick but a brief hour and a half.

“Farewell, hear children all. From you a mother Christ has called. Mourn not for me, it is vain to call me to your sight again.”
