After an illness lasting several years Henry W. McCoy died at Lincoln, Neb. Saturday, December 12, 1908, age a little over 44 years. The remains were brought to Arlington and buried in the cemetery east of town, the interment taking place Monday afternoon, Rev. J. Flook of the Congregational church officiating.

Deceased was born in Clayton, Ill., Oct. 28, 1864 and when 18 years old came to Nebraska, where he has since resided. He was married to Lulu VanBuskirk, Sept. 12, 1902, four children having been born to them, the two eldest having died some years ago. Besides a wife and two children, his aged mother, five sisters and four brothers survive him as follows; Mrs. Anna Moore, Lincoln; Mrs. L.F. Gilfry, Arlington; Mr. W.H. Reader, Farragut, Ia.; Mr. Henry Mencke, Amherst, Neb.; Chas McCoy, Lisbon, Neb.; Roy McCoy, Arlington; Mrs. Roland Gray, Wheatland, Wyo; R.K. McCoy, Seymore, Neb; J.F. McCoy, Elba Neb. All were present at the funeral except the last three named. Mr. McCoy was a resident of Arlington precinct for several years but about two years ago he with his wife and family moved to Omaha, where they engaged in the restaurant business.

His ailment continued to grow on him, and later he was taken to Lincoln in hopes of receiving treatment that would benefit him, but he continued to fail, until death relieved him of his sufferings last Saturday.
