Cass Frye, 72, Died on Monday

Casper Frye, 72, farmer in the Herman vicinity for 40 years, died Monday in a Council Bluffs hospital following an operation. He had been in poor health for many years.

Mr. Frye was born at Mondamin, Iowa, February 7, 1867, and was married there March 3, 1888, to Emma Sackett. To them were born 12 children, three dying in infancy. In 1899 the Fryes moved to the Herman region, where they have remained since.

Surviving Mr. Frye are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. William Wright of Long Beach, Washington, Mrs. Frank Bailey of Eagle Butte, South Dakota, Mrs. George Thompson of Lamar, Colorado and Mrs. Gene Freeman of Herman; five sons, Claude of Tekamah, Dave of Hynes, California, Robert, Carroll and Ned of Herman. Also surviving are a sister Mrs. Hattie Strait of California, 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a step-grandson.

Funeral services were held at the Herman Methodist church yesterday afternoon, the Rey. A. W. Clarke officiating. Burial was in Herman cemetery
