Michael L. Erwin, age 70, Council Bluffs, passed away August 15, 2022 at UNMC in Omaha, NE.

Michael was born September 23, 1951 in Council Bluffs to the late James T. and Alvira M. (Cooley).

Erwin was united in marriage to Cindy (Glaze) on May 19, 1979. Together they raised their children and Mike worked as a Diesel Mechanic for Penske in Omaha for just shy of 36 years.

He was a simple man who loved his motorcycle, fishing and most of all his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Randy Baumker.

Michael is survived by his wife, Cindy of 43 years; sons, Mike Erwin II (Kimberly), Blair, NE, Jason Erwin (Heidi) Neola, IA; Jeff Erwin; daughters, Jennifer Johnson (Jammie), Jazmine Erwin all Council Bluffs; 8 grandchildren, Jannessa and Colin Johnson, Heather Andreasen (Nate), Nick Erwin (Brooke), Noah Erwin, Katherine Bloch (Matt), Riley and James Erwin; 4 great-grandchildren, Eden Andreasen, Hunter Bloch, Ava and Aiden Erwin; sisters, Pam Baumker, Linda Ellis (Pat) all Council Bluffs.

VISITATION Friday 5-7pm. FUNERAL SERVICES Saturday 10am all at Funeral Home. Luncheon will follow the services in the Cutler-O'Neill Community Room. Michael will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
