The funeral of Mrs. Geo. Schmehl, notice of whose death was published last week, was held from the German M.E. Church last Friday afternoon, the services being conducted by the pastor of the church, Rev. Steinel, who arrived here from Denver the day before the funeral. He was assisted by Rev. J.D. Hammel of the English M.E. Church who delivered a short sermon in English, while Rev. Steinel spoke in German. The choir sang two selections, followed by a solo by Mrs. E.H. Eisner. After the services in the church, which was filled by sympathizing friends of the family, the remains were escorted to Arlington cemetery by a long line of vehicles, where the remains were laid to rest after a short service was held at the grave by Rev. Steinel.
