Maxine L. Kelly, age 89 of Blair, passed away Aug. 29, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hillside Villa in West Point. Memorial services will be held Tuesday Sept. 6, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Maxine was born Nov. 5, 1932, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of George and Bernice Domnisse. She was a graduate of Walthill High School and later the Omaha Public School of Practical Nursing. On Oct. 25, 1950, she was united in marriage to Charles Kelly. As a devoted and passionate nurse, Maxine worked at Memorial Community Hospital and Crowell Memorial Home in Blair. Maxine was an avid reader, she enjoyed doing lapidary work with Charles, playing cards and dominos, wintering in Port Aransas, Texas, and she loved caring for her animals.

She is survived by her children; Charles (Diane) Kelly, Bruce (Jennifer) Kelly and Roxanne (Mike) Williamsen, 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, sisters; Starla (Ronnie) Anderson and Karen Mussack, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, granddaughter Carolyn Kelly, and her sisters; Janice Reynolds and Dorothy Blau.

Memorials may be directed to the Jeanette Hunt Animal Shelter or the Blair Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad.
