GILLILAND RITES FRIDAY

MRS ALBERT GILLILAND, 78, DEAD; HUSBAND, SEVEN CHILDREN SURVIVE

Mr. Albert Gilliland, 78, long-time Blair resident, died Tuesday at Memorial Community Hospital. Her death was the first to occur at the new hospital.

The Campbell Mortuary announces that funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Christian Church, the Rev. Mr. Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will be in Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Gilliland, as Margaret Sidney King, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burwell King, was born in Missouri Nov. 29, 1877. She and Mr. Gilliland were married here April 1, 1893.

There are 84 immediate survivors. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Albert (Bud) Gilliland of Azusa, CA; and five daughters, Mrs. Rose Stricklett, Mrs. Clyde Noyes (Grace), Mrs. Dorothy McCulley, Mrs. Carl Hansen (Violet) and Mrs. Carl Peterson (Bernice), all of Blair.

There are 29 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.

Other survivors include three brothers, Jim and Tom King of Blair and Abner King of California, and four sisters, Mrs. Ranson Miller (Mable) of Los Angeles, CA, Mrs. Martha Hall of Grand Island (NE), Mrs. Theodore Stubbs (Sadie) of Gary, IN; and Mrs. John Reynolds (Mary) of Grand Island.
