Mrs. F. M. Gilliland died last Friday morning of complications of diseases after a long illness. The funeral was held on East Park Street at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, Elder B. D. House of Lincoln officiating, she being a member of the Adventist Church.

Wealthy A. Cook was born in Kentucky March 8, 1844, therefore was past 72 years of age at the time of her death. She removed to Iowa with her parents and was married in that state to F. M. Gilliland in 1866.

They came to this county in 1875 and lived in Blair and the vicinity for over forty years. She was the mother of ten children, three of whom are now deceased. Mrs. J. S. Montgomery, Mrs. Arch McManigal, Mrs. Abner Puffer, and John Gilliland all live in Burt County, Mrs. Dave Lane, Mrs. Ray Haynes and Mrs. Ben Klinger live in this city. She is survived by her aged husband, one sister, Mrs. Mary Baxter of Oklahoma and four brothers in Iowa, Nelt, William, Elisah and Cave Cook besides many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a quiet, kindly woman with many friends and not an enemy on earth. She is the best proof we know that she received a hearty welcome when she arrived on the other side.

Mrs. Wealthy A. Gilliland was born in the state of Kentucky March 8, 1845, and died at Blair, Nebr. July 21, 1916. She had been in poor health for some time. In company with her parents she lived in the states of Indiana and Iowa, and in 1866 she was married to F.M. Gilliland. In 1875 they moved to Blair.

She was the mother of ten children, seven of whom survive her. They ae Mrs. James Montgomery, Mrs. Arch McManigal,, Mrs. Abner Peiffer and John Gilliland of Burt county, Mrs. Dave Lane, Mrs. Ray Haynes and Mrs. Ben Klinger of Blair. Her aged husband and one sister and four brothers also survive her.

Funeral services were held from her late home on July 24 at 2p.m. B.L. House, an Adventist minister from Lincoln conducted the services. Interment in Blair cemetery.
