JABE B. GIBSON DEAD IN TEXAS

ONETIME BLAIR BANKER SUCCUMBS IN DALLAS, TEXAS Friday AT AGE 60

Jabe B. Gibson, about 60, former Blair banker, died early Friday at his home in Dallas, Texas, following an illness of three years, according to word received by friends. He had resided in Texas several years.

Mr. Gibson spent his boyhood on a farm near Hampton, Nebraska, following which he attended high school and Midland college at Fremont. He then taught school and later entered the banking business here.

He and his brother, John H. Gibson, were in the Citizens State bank here together, Jabe serving as cashier. Later Jabe went to Norfolk, where he was president of the former Nebraska state bank from 1919 to 1930. John remained here and founded the now-defunct Farmers State bank.

Surviving Mr. Gibson are his wife; a stepdaughter Mrs. Robert Lacy, and one son, Jabe, Jr., all of Dallas.
