Dorothy Selma Jackson, 97, of Rushville, Mo. died Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 at the Atchison Hospital, Atchison, KS.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 14th, 2013 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home in Atchison, Kansas. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Atchison Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Department and may be sent in care of the funeral home.

Dorothy was born on Jan. 23, 1916 in Fort Calhoun, NE the daughter of John C. and Minnie A. (Wortmann) Lorsch. She attended the former Wranch grade school and graduated from Ft. Calhoun High School. She served in the U.S. Navy. She was married to William H.T. Jackson on March 22, 1945 and enjoyed sewing, needlework, counted cross-stitch, making rugs, mushroom hunting, cooking, big band music, watching Royals Baseball and especially her family.

Survivors include two sons; Mark Jackson and his wife Janet, Weston, MO., and Jeff Jackson and his wife Kathy, Effingham, KS., several nieces, nephews and extended loved ones and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; William H.T. Jackson (Aug. 19, 1988), brother, John R. "Bud" Lorsch, and sister, Eleanor K. Mommsen.
