Elizabeth "Betty" Josephine Rybin age 98, passed away August 21, 2022

Betty was born on a farm southwest of Fort Calhoun to Louis and Roselie Hansen on August 23, 1923. She attended country school and graduated from Benson High School in 1940. Betty attended business school and was employed by Northern Natural Gas Company. She met Frank Rybin and they married on May 28, 1943. They moved to a farm southwest of Fort Calhoun and farmed. Frank was also an auctioneer and Betty was a bookkeeper for the business.

Betty enjoyed playing cards. She was a charter member for over 60 years, and she belonged to Friendly Homemaker Club. She was a member of the Eagles and Eastern Stars. She enjoyed friends over for coffee and good conversation.

Betty is survived by her daughter Nancy and friend Cary Going of Blair, two sons: Larry Rybin and Roger Rybin of Omaha. One granddaughter Jaclyn Rybin of Seattle, Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents, two brothers; Robert and George Hansen, three sisters; Olga Harnet, Victoria Dougherty and Gertrude Menkel. Memorial may be directed to the German Cemetery.
