Bock, Richard L.

September 30, 1937 - October 11, 2022

Richard L. Bock, age 85, of Papillion, NE was born on the family farm in rural Richfield, NE to Edward and Marie (Lamprecht) Bock.

He was a lifelong learner who appreciated art, classical music and travel. He wrote thoughtful notes and enjoyed a good meal followed by a lively discussion. He was a faithful Lutheran.

After graduation from Dana College, Richard's first teaching job was in Schuyler NE. He taught English on military bases in Germany and Okinawa, and later at Westside Schools in Omaha. He had an entrepreneurial spirit.

Richard is survived by his sister, Janis Dagerman; numerous nieces and nephews; cousins; and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Marie; brothers, Robert and Hans; sisters, Elaine, Verna, Bernice, and Darlene; and nephews Don, Jim and Rik.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church on October 21, at 11am, immediately followed by Lunch. BURIAL in Cedar Dale Cemetery in Papillion at 1:45pm. Memorials can be made to Kountze Memorial Church, or KVNO-Classical Music Radio station.
