RITES FOR MRS. HOWARD WOODARD HELD ON WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Howard Woodard passes away at her home at 1309 Grant Street on March 10th following a long illness.

Helen K. Nelson was born January 4, 1896 to Mr. and Mrs. Peter K. Nelson on a farm near Blair.

She was married to Howard Woodard, and they were the parents of seven children.

Survivors besides her husband are four daughters: Mrs. Roy Stubbs (Hazel) of Loves Park, Illinois, Mrs. Woodrow Welch (Virginia) of Denver, Mrs. Phyllis Gladwin and Mrs. Ross Nicholson (Doris) of Blair, and three sons, Russell Woodard of Jefferson, Ia., Howard N. Woodard of El Monte, California and James E. Woodard of Blair. There are also 15 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Brothers and sisters surviving are George K. Nelson of Millard; Hans K. Nelson of Omaha, Mrs. H.P.M. Hansen of Blair, Mrs. H.C. Jensen and Mrs. Roscoe Rosenbaum of Fremont, and Mrs. Tom Wilkinson of Winter Haven, Florida. One brother and one sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M> on Wednesday, March 13th at the First Methodist Church. The Rev. Richard Atherton officiated. The Campbell Mortuary was in charge of arrangements and burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: L.W. Svendgaard, Joe Nelson, Bill Nelson, Vernon Woodard, Charles Jensen and Clifford Hansen.
