J.F. Ellis and two daughters, Mrs. Eva Nesbit and his two sons, Mr. and Mrs. E.I. Ellis and Clarence Ellis motored to Blair, Saturday, to attend the funeral of William Freeman, who passed away Thursday, August 11, at their home in Omaha. Mrs. Freeman was the youngest daughter of the late W.B. Newton. Her many friends extend sympathy to her, in her sorrow and bereavement.

William Freeman, aged 51, passed away at his residence 7608 North 29th Street, Omaha, Friday morning August 12th. Mr. Freeman is survived by his mother, Mrs. M.A. Freeman, his wife Josephine Freeman, both of this city; three daughters Mrs. Raymond Barton of Avoca, Iowa; Mrs. George McBride; Mrs. Jim Vorman, both of this city, and one son Owen Freeman of Avoca, Iowa, and one sister Mrs. O.L. Hart 8 miles west of Omaha.

Mr. Freeman was a member of Carpenter’s Union 427 and also a member of L.O.O.M. No. 39 of Norfolk, Va.

The funeral services were from Crosby-Moore funeral home, 24th and Wirt streets, Saturday afternoon, Aug. 13, at 11 a.m. and interment at Blair.

The above notice appeared in the Omaha Bee. The wife of the deceased was formerly Josephine Newton Gamble whose many friends extend condolence to her in her recent bereavement.
