Sharon “Kay” K. Stork, 85 years, of Arlington, NE passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Kay was born on November 28, 1937 to Thomas J. and Lola (Wellman) Jens in Fremont, NE. She was the youngest of 4 children and grew up in Fremont. She attended grade school at Linden and the old East School, but attended 6th through 8th grade in North Bend, NE. Sharon was a 1955 graduate at Fremont High School. After high school, she became a proofreader for the Fremont Guide and Tribune. She later worked at beauty salon.

Kay met Robert Stork, an Arlington farmer with a great smile and a sparkle in his eyes and married him on September 6, 1969 at First Lutheran Church in Fremont. Kay and Robert were blessed with a very beautiful daughter, Erika. Kay was a stay at home mother for those years and helped with PTA and volunteering in the library. She later became the librarian for 22 years.

She belonged to the Hope Circle, Library committee, and helped with bible school. She was a lifetime member of First Lutheran Church in Fremont.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; brother, Tom (Donna) Jens; and sister, Betty (Don) Smith and Shirley (Jack) Stamp.

She is survived by her daughter Erika (Alex) Dahlheim; grandchildren, Josie, Ryann, Braeden, and Camden; and great grandchild, Beau.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 A.M., Thursday, January 12, 2023 at First Lutheran Church in Fremont, NE. Pastor Duane Miller will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.

Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Memorials may be directed to the Arlington Library or First Lutheran Church.
