We sadly announce the passing of Curtis Lee Rathmann (Kip), of Cowan, TN on February 11, 2023.

Kip slipped from this life while peacefully sleeping.

Curtis was born in Blair, NE. on January 25th 1954.

Curtis was the only child of Curtis and Leila (Baxter) Rathmann.

Curtis was a US Navy corpsman/veteran assigned to 2nd Marine Division at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

He was a warm, fun-loving soul. Kip never met a stranger. He was a compassionate and loving man who had many hobbies. He loved time with his family and friends, camping and fishing, Nascar racing and gardening.

Curtis had once played the guitar and had recently enjoyed relearning the guitar.

Curtis was a master carpenter. In the wood he could see each line and flaw and bring out the beauty of the piece.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves behind sons, Ryan S Rathmann (Winchester) Joshua Rathmann (Ohio), David Eberhart, (Cowan) daughters, Dawn Garner (Winchester)and Alandra Marfia (Florida). Also, many nieces and nephews, and many grandchildren.

There will be no services at this time. A family gathering will be held in the spring.
