Larry was born on May 12, 1942 in Blair, Nebraska to Walter and Sophie (Wrich) Henricksen. He grew up with his two sisters and brother on the family farm, southeast of Blair. Larry attended Cruickshank country school through the eighth grade and later graduated from Blair High School with the class of 1960.

Larry was going to be drafted during the Vietnam War so he chose to enlist in the Army Reserves and served for six years. He then spent over ten years helping his dad on the farm while also working full time in Omaha. Larry worked for two car dealerships in Omaha, often being their top salesman. He later worked 26 years for the Blair Community Schools and then spent several years living and working in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He returned to Omaha due to declining health. Larry trusted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was active in the churches wherever he lived. He helped start Son-Rise Community Church in Blair, ushered at Westside Church in Omaha and loved working at the soup kitchen in Scottsbluff.

Larry enjoyed sports, especially watching golf, and he loved his cars. He bought and sold many, many cars over the years, enjoying every one of them. In his later years in nursing homes, Larry was active helping with activities, serving in the dining room as well as at Bible Studies. Larry would be described as one of the good guys; he worked hard, played by the rules and was kind to everyone.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Walt and Sophie.

He is survived by his sisters: Lois (Don) Lambrecht of Bennington, NE and Linda Tesnow of Omaha, NE; brother, Bob (Susie) Henricksen of Blair, NE; nieces: Deb (Mark) Laux and Heidi (Nathan) Prottsman; nephews: Gary (Sarah) Lambrecht and Eric (Chelsea) Henricksen; great niece, five great nephews and two great great nephews.

Larry passed away on February 15, 2023 in Omaha, Nebraska. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 25 at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.
