GEORGE MAYNARD DIED THURSDAY OF HEART ATTACK

Funeral services were held today (Monday) for George Maynard, 61 years of age, who died of a heart attack Thursday, while at work.

Services were held at the Baptist Church with the Rev. Rex Bear officiating with interment in the Blair Cemetery.

Mr. Maynard is survived by his wife, Juanita.

George Maynard was born July 1, 1897 at Ouray, Colorado and moved to Blair with his parents at the age of seven years. He was married July 19, 1938.

Mr. Maynard graduated from Blair High School, attended Wayne State Teachers College and Omaha University. He taught at the Bisbe and Pleasant View schools in Washington County and at the Avery school in Omaha. He served as district agency supervisor for the Omaha World-Herald for a number of years and during the past twelve years has served as bookkeeper for D. Spickler at the Blair Distributing Company.

The Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Bob McMillan, Willard Warrick, Gil Garner Sr., Raymond Wilson, William Bisbee and Everett Lamb.
