Services were Monday, Feb. 17, at the Foothills Methodist Church in El Cajon, Calif., for Mae Halstead, 83, of El Cajon, who died suddenly Feb. 11, 1997. Burial will be this spring in the Blair Cemetery.

Mae Halstead was born June 8, 1913, in Rapid City, SD. She attended Blair High School. She retired to Porterville, Calif., in 1968 with her husband. She was preceded in death by Zeke, her husband of 55 years in August, 1988.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Dr. Gary Fauskin; a grandson, Jeffrey; his fiancée, Gina and her son, Justin, all of El Cajon; sisters, Darlene Pooler of Castro Valley, Calif.; Caroline Wunsch of Santa Monica, Calif.; Jean Hall and Georgia Clausen, both of Kearney, Nebr.; a brother William Wentworth of Grand Junction, Colo.; a special niece, Diane Foster of Kearney; four grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild and 13 nieces and nephews.
