Thomas Hogan died at his home near Tekamah after a short illness. He was thirty-eight years of age and was born on the home place.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. John Hogan, and five brothers, Robert of Craig, and William, John, James and Edward of Tekamah. The last four named assisted him in farming the place where they lived with their mother. He is a cousin of Mrs. James Lippincott, of this city. The funeral was held today at 11 o'clock at the Catholic church, Father Beyersdorfer officiating. The Pilot extends sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

SOLDIER ENDS LIFE WITH GUN

Tom Hogan committed suicide by shooting himself in the abdomen, Monday, about noon. He had become somewhat melancholy of late, and recently he enlisted in the army and the time was almost up for him to leave.

He was the son of Mrs. John Hogan of southwest of Tekamah, and he leaves an aged mother and several brothers to mourn his untimely demise.

Funeral services were held in Blair Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock at the Catholic church and interment was made in that city.
