Eugene R. Gibbs, 47, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2011.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Interment will be in Garner Township Cemetery, with military rites by American Legion Post 2.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Eugene Raymond Gibbs was born March 22, 1964, in Falls City to Raymond B. and Ramona J. (Wiese) Gibbs. He served his country in the United States Navy and worked in the construction field.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Jared Gibbs, Jordan and Jewel Gibbs, and their mother, Karma Bevard, all of Cozad; son, Justin Kramer of Lincoln; granddaughter, RoxiAnn Gibbs; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pamela and Ed Ross of Council Bluffs, Tammy and Bob Boettcher of Blair; brother, Alan Gibbs of Omaha; special friend, Kathy Ring of Council Bluffs; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
