Mavis Ann (Dahl) Jensen was born August 6, 1934 in Scribner, Nebraska to Howard and Martha (Poppe) Dahl, and was an only child. She passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Oakland Heights Nursing Home in Oakland, Nebraska, at the age of 81.

Mavis graduated from Scribner High School in 1952. She married Edward Tad Jensen on January 18, 1953 in Oakland. To this union were born: Edward Timothy “Tim”, Martha JoAnn, Ann Marie, Howard Thomas “Tom”, Matthew Tod “Tod”, and Jessica Ann.

Mavis was employed in various fields throughout her life, some of which include: The Oakland Olive Plant, The Hilltop Café, and bartending at many loved businesses. She enjoyed the races, going to bingo, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tad Jensen; son, Tim Jensen; parents, Howard and Martha Dahl; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ed and Evelyn Jensen.

She is survived by her children; Martha (Brad) Rouse of Craig, NE, Ann (Delwin) Anderson of Oakland, Tom (Kristie) Jensen of Craig, Tod Jensen of Lincoln, NE, Jessica Suing of Sioux City, IA; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren.
