In Loving Memory of Ray Ardis!

Ray passed peacefully on Wednesday, July 5, once all loved ones could say goodbye.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lola and Wendall Ardis.

He is survived by his wife, the love of his life, of almost 33 years, Linda. Sons, Steve "Beeper" Ardis of S.D., Martin (Jane) Ardis of N.C., Ricky (Kristine) Welchert of Neb., daughters, RaeAnn (Tim) King of Ariz., Shelly Ardis of Ariz., Staci (Ben) Hite of Connecticut, and Jenny (Curtis) Peyton of Colo., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ray was born in 1939 and raised in Dearborn, Mich. When he turned 18, he served in Germany after joining the Army. He served six years and then took an honorable discharge. Ray was awarded with the Marksman and Good Conduct medals. He went on to work with Braniff Airways and then United Airlines. He retired decades later, enjoying his hobbies of hunting, telling stories and doing projects on his property.

Ray was many things. He was an "active" listener and intuitive. In all seriousness though, he may have been nicknamed Crazy Ray because of his stories, goofy personality and obsession with hats but he was always loving and no doubt proud of his kids. We will miss you Ray.
