Rites Today for Swihart

BERT SWIHART DIES IN OMAHA HOSPITAL; WAS A VETERINARIAN

Funeral services for John Albert (Bert) Swihart of Arlington will be this afternoon (Thursday) at 2at the Kennard Methodist Church. Burial will be in Kennard Cemetery. The Campbell Mortuary is in charge. Mr. Swihart, 78, died Tuesday at Clarkson Hospital where he had been taken the day after Christmas after he suddenly became critically ill.

The son of William E. and Sarah Swihart, he was born at Fontanelle in 1873. He moved his family to Kennard. He and Josephine Tekla Anderson were married Dec. 17, 1904. He was a veterinarian for many years.

Mr. Swihart is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Grant Brewster (Grace) of Blair; one son, Clyde Swihart of Arlington; two brothers, Mark Swihart of Carroll, Nebr., and Charles Swihart of Niobrara; and two sisters, Mrs. Gus Rathmann of Blair and Mrs. Jessie Olson of Los Angeles.
