Joyce Elaine Johnson was born to LeeRoy and Elaine (Bowman) Chambliess November 19, 1952, at Oakland Memorial Hospital in Oakland, Nebraska.

Joyce lived in a loving home with her parents and one brother in Uehling, Nebraska. She started kindergarten at District 49 in Uehling and continued there until ninth grade. She attended Hooper School in Hooper, Nebraska tenth through eleventh grade. She graduated from the new Logan View High School, with first class to graduate there, in 1971.

Joyce took EMT class with her dad in Hooper. She was on the Uehling Rescue Squad. She also took a Nurses Aide class at Fremont Hospital prior to working there for three years.

On October 14, 1973, Joyce was married to Clyde R. Johnson at Uehling Congregational Church. They rented a small home in Uehling. They lost their first daughter, a stillborn, on December 10, 1974. They moved to a new home in Uehling and two years later daughter Amy was born. They lived in several different places and settled in Oakland. Daughter, Hannah and son, Jason were born when they bought their first home in 1999.

She passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde; daughter, Carrie Marie; dear friends and grandparents.

She is survived by her daughters, Amy Johnson and Hannah (Gary) Hasting; sons, Jason Johnson and Tyler Johnson; special grandchildren; She loved her family to the end.
