March 26, 1932 - July 28, 2023

Donald Lee Drey Sr. of Council Bluffs, Iowa, went to the Lord in heaven on Friday, July 28, 2023.

After a brief stay for a lung infection at the Blair Hospital, Donald was able to return to his daughter Christie's apartment where he had lived for the past two years. He passed with her by his side.

Donald was an Army war veteran.

He loved his westerns and the Cornhuskers. He loved his family and his wife Bonnell Drey the very most. They are together once more.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 3 at 1:00 PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Donald is survived by his daughter Christie Drey, son Donald (Debbie) Drey Jr., and David Drey; siblings: Loyal (Marlene) Drey, Velva (Cy) Schmieding, Larry (Barb) Drey and sisters-in-law: Connie Drey, Pat Carl; eight grandchildren: John (Marjorie) McAndrews, Janelle (Doug) Taylor, Joey Welles, Dorothy (Ben) Crocker, Darcie (Aaron) Duane, Denise Drey, Lindsey Drey, BreAnna Vigstol; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnell; parents Clifford and Eunice Drey; siblings: Wayne, Shirley, Melvin, Duane, Verlyn, Leola (Glen) Skelton, Lila Dahl and Ted Dahl

Funeral services 1pm August 3, 2023 at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.
