Diana Lynn Metzler was born to Jimmie and Doris (Smith) Metzler on March 9, 1952 in Blair, Neb. She entered into eternal rest on Oct. 17, 2023 at Arbor Care Center in Tekamah.

She grew up in Tekamah graduating from Tekamah Herman High School in 1970. She never was blessed with her own children but would claim any and all children she came across. Her love for children was never ending.

She spent her younger years working at Good Shepherd as nurse’s aide until her career ending accident. After that she dedicated many years to the Blair Eagles Club and babysitting her great nieces and nephews. Diana also enjoyed day trips with her mother or going to Texas to visit family. She also really enjoyed playing bingo, swimming and dancing in her free time.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Jimmie Metzler Jr.

Survivors include her sisters: Phyllis Bieck of Dallas, Texas, Dee Feuerbacher of Huntsville, Texas; her nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.

Private family services will be held.
