Lawrence Carroll (Sonny) Knudsen

7/3/1942 – 10/19/2023

Born and raised in Omaha, Sonny served in the Navy from 1961-1966 as an aircraft engine mechanic ASW. He drove for Ready Mixed Concrete for 38 years. He enjoyed woodworking, building wooden ships and model airplanes, liked watching westerns, NASCAR and drag races on TV, liked fishing and road trips, especially in his 1962 Pontiacs. Sonny died peacefully at home.

He is survived by his wife, Fernonda (Nondie), of 54 years, children Vaunette (Paul) Suthlerland, Joseph and Letitia (Clyde). Three grandchildren, two great-grandsons, sister Linda (Ron) Hoffman, sister-in-law Barb Devney, in-laws in Texas and Washington State, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
