Visitation services will be Thursday, November 2nd, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair, NE. Services will be held on Friday, November 3rd at 11 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in Kennard, Ne. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Blair Volunteer Fire and Rescue or Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: Son, Michael (Diane) Byers of Kennard, NE. Grandchildren, Heather (Craig) Campbell of Sneads Ferry, NC; Angela (Daniel) Hilgendorf of Weisbaden, Ger.; Amber Byers of Arlington, NE; Crystal Sauser of Omaha, NE; Megan (Cory) Byers of Colorado Springs, CO; Brad (Christie) Carson of Blair, NE; Tracey (Donovan) Roach of Blair, NE; Siblings, Melvin-Red (Anita) Misfeldt of Arlington, NE, Genene Quick of Casper, WY; and Marylou (John) Jessen of Rock Springs, WY; and Brother-in-law Allan (Ellen) Byers of St. Charles, MO. Alice is also survived by many great and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Alice Lavon Byers born March 9, 1931 in rural Kennard, Neb., to Charles and Helena Misfeldt.

She entered into rest Oct. 28, 2023 in Blair, Neb. She graduated from Blair High School in 1948. On Dec. 27, 1951 Alice married William (Bill) Byers in Kennard. Alice was a lifelong, devoted member of Grace United Methodist church in Kennard.

Alice and Bill lived on the family farm in Kennard for most of their married life upon returning home from England where Bill served in the Korean Conflict. They were blessed with three children, Teresa Byers, Suzanne Byers and Michael (Diane) Byers.

Alice was happiest when she was with family and friends. Alice loved spending time with her family, entertaining, singing and playing cards. She was also a very active bowler and bridge player and a dedicated member of many birthday clubs.

Survivors include: son, Michael (Diane) Byers of Kennard, NE. Grandchildren, Heather (Craig) Campbell of Sneads Ferry, NCAngela (Daniel) Hilgendorf of Weisbaden, Ger; Amber Byers of Arlington, NE; Crystal Sauser of Omaha, NE; Megan (Cory) Byers of Colorado Springs, CO; Brad (Christie) Carson of Blair, NE; Tracey (Donavan) Roach of Blair, NE, siblings Melvin-Red (Anita) Misfeldt of Arlington, NE, Genene Quick of Casper, WY; and Marylou (John) Jessen of Rock Springs, WY; and Brother-in-law Allan (Ellen) Byers of St. Charles, MO. Alice is also survived by many great and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Alice preceded in death by siblings, Norman Misfeldt, Marjorie Grenier, Henrietta McCandless, Rusty-Ivan Misfeldt; husband, Bill Byers, daughters Teresa Byers and Suzanne Byers, daughter-in-law Patricia Byers and grandson-in-law, Eric Sauser.
