JAMES F. HINELINE DIED AT GRAND ISLAND MONDAY

James F. Hineline, a native of DeSoto vicinity near Blair, died Monday night at Grand Island following an extended illness. He was born at DeSoto May 25, 1891 and was 82 years old at the time of his death.

He grew to manhood in the DeSoto area and was married to Martha Green, who preceded him in death in 1958.

Most of his life he was a welder, although he had been retired in recent years.

He is survived by three sons and five daughters. The sons are Leo Hineline, of Grand Island; Roger, of Pueblo, Colorado and Lawrence of Phoenix, Arizona. The daughters are Miss Vesta Hineline of Omaha; Mrs. Ruby Stevensen, Winterset, Iowa; Mrs. Althea Schad, of Shannon City, Iowa; Mrs. Norma Hatcher, of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Mrs. Mary Davis of Atlantic, Iowa.

There are 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are being held at the First Methodist Church today, February 8th with the Rev. Charles Gates conducting the service. Burial will be made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

The pallbearers will be Leo Hineline, Roger Hineline, John Hineline, Kenneth Hineline, Lloyd Hineline and Waine Allen.

Obituary James Franklin Hineline

James F. Hineline, 81, a resident of Doniphan, Hall County, Nebraska, died Tuesday afternoon, February 6, 1973, at a Grand Island, Nebraska, hospital.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Blair, Washington County, Nebraska. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

He was born May 25, 1891, at DeSoto, Washington County, Nebraska, the son of Franklin & Cynthia Stricklett Hineline. He was raised in DeSoto and attended the schools there.

James farmed for a short time but spent most of his life as a welder in Blair & other communities in this area.

Survivors include; three sons, Lawrence of Phoenix, Arizona, Leo of Grand Island, Nebraska, and Roger of Pueblo, Colorado; five daughters, Mrs. Ruby Stevenson, of Winterset, Iowa; Vesta Hineline of Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Althea Schad of Shannon City, Iowa; Norma Hatcher of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Mary Davis of Atlantic, Iowa; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles of Blair and Clifford of Omaha; a sister, Mrs. Julia Mathews of Omaha.

His wife, Martha, whom he married on December 29, 1909, at Blair, preceded him in death on April 15, 1958.
