Carol Christensen Cantey passed away Oct. 10, 2023, at her home in Cerritos, Calif. Carol was born Dec. 27, 1940, in Blair, Neb., to Russell and Marjorie Christensen. She was raised on the family farm near Fort Calhoun, Neb. Carol attended Dana College until she married and moved to California.

She became a registered nurse and worked 24 years at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital in Downey, Calif. Carol is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Cantey and son Mark Cantey of Cerritos, Calif.; brother Dean (Sylvia) Christensen of Lincoln;,sister-in-law Susie Christensen of Blair and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Russell Christensen.

Funeral: Celebration of Life will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30 at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church, Fort Calhoun, Neb.
