Chris Allen Sorensen, age 55, died on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at his home in Omaha after a short battle with anaplastic thyroid cancer.

Chris was born Nov. 4, 1968, in Fremont.

He grew up in Arlington, graduating from Arlington High School in 1987. After graduating he attended Midland University in Fremont, Neb.

He then moved to Omaha, Neb., where he started his career at Nebraska Wine and Spirits which later became Republic National Distributing Co (RNDC) for over 30 years.

Chris married Sarah (Huss) on Sept. 25, 1999. He enjoyed time with family and friends but especially being a dad, and coaching his children in various activities.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Sorensen.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah; daughter, Chloe; son, Ethan; mother, Joan Sorensen; sister, Paula (Randy) Schneider; and family.

Funeral: Nov. 29, 2023 at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 324 S. Jackson St., Papillion, NE 68046. Visitation will begin at noon before service.

Memorials may be made to Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center Omaha, NE.

Chris Allen Sorensen, age 55, died on Friday, November 10th, 2023, in his home after a tough battle with anaplastic thyroid cancer.

He grew up in the small town of Arlington, NE. After graduating high school, he attended Midland University in Fremont, NE where he played golf.

He then moved to Omaha, NE where he worked at RNDC for over thirty years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Sorensen.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Sorensen, daughter, Chloe Sorensen, son, Ethan Sorensen, mother, Joan Sorensen, sister, Paula Schneider and family.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 29th, 2023 at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 324 S Jackson St. Papillion, NE 68046. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. before the service. Memorials and Donations in his name may be made to Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center in Omaha, NE.
