Edith M. Andreasen, 88, of Blair, formerly of Fremont, Neb., passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community in Blair.

She was born July 14, 1935 in Heun, Neb., to Ray and Adeline (Steffel) Evert.

Edith grew up in South Omaha and graduated from South High School. She married Robert “Bob” Andreasen in 1955 in Blair. After marriage, they settled near Kennard, Neb., where they farmed and raised their children. She worked at several cafés around the area after her children were raised. They moved to Fremont in 1996.

She was a former member of Emmaus Lutheran Church and church circle in Kennard and a current member of First Lutheran Church in Fremont. She enjoyed bowling, watching her children’s and grandchildren’s events, and was a former member of the Eagles club in Fremont.

She is survived by her son, Brian (Mary) Andreasen of Kennard; daughters, Gloria (Jeffery) Connick of Sioux City, IA, Theresa (Denis) Anderson of Fremont, and Patty Goodwin of Arlington, NE; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Bob, in 2018.

Funeral was Monday, Dec. 11, 2023 at First Lutheran Church in Fremont. Visitation was Sunday at Moser’s in Fremont. Interment was at the Kennard Cemetery, Kennard, Neb.
