Jan Kay Sederburg bid us farewell on Dec. 17 in Blair, Neb., at the age of 76. Born on July 11, 1947, in Blair, Neb., to Walter and Birdie Lorsch, she lived a life that was as colorful as her scrapbook creations. On June 12, 1965, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Dick Sederburg. They shared 49 years, and had three children together — Jo, Rick and Traci.

Janet was a crafting extraordinaire and a professional thrifter. She could sniff out the best garage sales and craft fairs like nobody's business. But her true masterpiece was the love she poured into her family and friends.

Janet received her education in Blair, Neb., and graduated from Blair High School. Throughout her career, she worked at Equitable, Fort Calhoun State Bank, Wilkinson and even co-founded Joseph's Coat in Blair. She was also in the Fireman's Auxiliary, where she juggled the roles of Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President, and President throughout the years.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Birdie Lorsch, husband, Dick, and son, Rick, sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Franklin Young, brother-in-law, Layton Anderson, and niece and nephew-in-law, Cindy and Dean Constantinou.

Surviving Jan are daughters, Jo Ann Lode and Traci (Cory) Duckworth, and daughter-in-law, Tori Sederburg. Her sister, Betty Anderson, also continues to carry on her legacy. Grandchildren; Josh and Jackson (Cortney) Schmid, Jolene and Tyler (Valarie) Boesch, Mackenzie, Elizabeth, Hannah, and Rylee Sederburg, Kobe and Braylee Duckworth will cherish her memory. Great-grandchildren; Jocelyn, Kadence, and Lakelynn Schmid, Matthew Crane, and Lucas Boesch. Niece, Misty Anderson, nephew Jeff (Carolyn) Young, and best friend, Beverly Simmons, along with other family and friends, who will cherish her memory.

A visitation will be held on Dec. 20, from 5-7 p.m., at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

A funeral will be held on Dec. 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Reach Church in Blair.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the family for a future memorial or to the Blair Fire Department.
