Services for Ilene Jensen, 60 of Bennington, Nebraska who died of cancer in Omaha January 12, 1995 were Monday, January 16 at First Christian Church in Blair, with burial in the Prairie View Cemetery.

Ilene Jensen was born August 10, 1934 in rural Blair to Carsen and Margaret Holstein Petersen. She graduated from Elkhorn High School in 1951.

In 1954, she married Richard E. Jensen in Bennington. She lived in the rural Bennington area most of her life.

She worked at the Methodist Hospital for 19 years in computer operations and waitressed for 10 years, retiring in April of 1993. She was an active member of First Christian Church in Blair, taught Sunday School for 35 years, and was involved with many other church activities.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carsen Petersen.

Surviving her in death are her husband, Richard; three daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna and Don Marick, Omaha; Pam and Bob Push, Bennington; and Sheri and Dennis Stark, Omaha; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Christine Jensen, Iowa City, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; her mother, Margaret Petersen, Kennard, Nebraska; one brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Joyce Petersen, Fremont, Nebraska; and one sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Robert Patterson, Papillion, Nebraska.

Memorials may be directed to First Christian Church, Blair, Nebraska.
