Ardith C. Daehling was born Dec. 1, 1939, in Exeter, Neb., and died Dec. 28, 2023, in Bullhead City, Ariz. Survived by her sons: Michael and Cindy (Cheney, Kan.), Brian and Shannon (Omaha, Neb.) and Kevin and Karla (Sterling, Neb.); grandchildren: Joshua, Zachary (Brett), Lucas, Nicholas, Samantha (Eduardo) Serrano, Madeline (Allan) Feek, Andrew and Kameron; great grandchildren: Ryan and Jayden Serrano, Rex and Remy Daehling and Bodhi Feek; siblings: MaryAnne (Wayne) Meyer, Betty (John) Treakle and Clark Wellman; brothers-in-law: Stuart (Pat), Terry (Sandy) and Randall (Patti); as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Blair, NE, Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. Private family inurnment will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Waco, Nebraska.

Ardith C. Daehling was born December 1, 1939, on a farm near Exeter, Nebraska to Paul and Ada (Uffleman) Wellman. She was raised on a farm with her two sisters and one brother. Ardith attended elementary school at Exeter and later at North St. John’s Lutheran Church, Waco, NE. She graduated high school from Waco, Nebraska. After high school, Ardith worked at a bakery in York, NE and as a nurse’s aide in Seward and Lincoln, NE. Ardith was united in marriage to Gayle M. Daehling on July 2, 1960. To this union they were blessed with three sons, Michael, Brian, & Kevin. Along with being a wonderful mother and homemaker, she held positions at various businesses as Gayle’s career moved from Lincoln to Omaha, Minneapolis, MN and settled in Tekamah, NE, where they opened their first store - Town & Country Auto Parts in 1973. In the 90's, they expanded the business to Blair, NE., and in 1997 retired from their auto parts business, while maintaining so many meaningful friendships in the Tekamah and Blair communities. Ardith enjoyed traveling, volunteering at the Blair Recycle Center and being members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair, NE as well as St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bullhead City, AZ. They also enjoyed many friendships made while wintering in Bullhead City. Ardith loved reading, quilting, cardplaying and gardening her flowerbeds. She always loved interacting with people and attending activities that involved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ardith was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gayle. She is survived by her sons: Michael (Cindy), Brian (Shannon) and Kevin (Karla); grandchildren: Joshua, Zachary (Brett), & Lucas Daehling, Nicholas Daehling & Samantha (Eduardo) Serrano, and Madeline (Allan) Feek, Andrew & Kameron Daehling; great grandchildren: Ryan & Jayden Serrano, Rex & Remy Daehling and Bodhi Feek; sisters and brother; MaryAnne (Wayne) Meyer, Betty (John) Treakle and Clark Wellman; brothers-in-law: Stuart (Pat), Terry (Sandy) and Randall (Patti); as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service was held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 in Bullhead City, AZ.

Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Blair, NE., Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 9:30A. Private family inurnment will be held at St. Joh’s Lutheran Cemetery in Waco, Nebraska.
