Chad "Fatty" Everett Johnson, age 48 of Blair, passed away January 8, 2024 at his home in Blair

Chad was born May 16, 1975, in Columbus, Nebraska the son of Ken and Claudia Johnson.

He was raised in Blair, Nebraska and attended and graduated from Blair High School in 1993. After High School, he attended Paris Junior College in Paris, Texas, earning his associate degree in watchmaking.

After graduating, he moved to Sioux City, Iowa, working in a jewelry store. He later moved back to Blair and worked for Qualex in Omaha, Kelly Ryan Equipment, Novozymes and the last five years at CF Industries in Blair.

Chad will always be remembered as a loving prankster and a lifelong friend to countless people. He especially loved being an uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was an avid Steelers fan and Keno player.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents Ken and Claudia Johnson, siblings: Corey (Theresa) Johnson, Nick (Lisa) Johnson; nieces and nephews: Tyson, Luella, Kaitlyn, Ireland, Finnegan, and Breccan; grandmother Marjory Johnson; along with aunts, uncles, extended family and countless friends as well as his beloved dog, Max.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Harold Johnson, Jr and Jeanne Kimsey; uncle Dennis Johnson, and cousin Arie Johnson.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 11, from 6-8 PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Graveside services will follow in the Blair Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Nebraska Children's Home or the Jeanette Hunt Animal Shelter in Blair.

Pallbearers: Jason Pike, Steve Wolff, Jonas Thomas, Nik Klanderud, Tom Andreasen, Darren Snow

Final Resting Place: Blair Cemetery, Blair, Nebraska

Memorials may be directed to the Nebraska Children's Home or the Jeanette Hunt Animal Shelter in Blair.

Note: He loved fireworks, and was honored with two very loud fireworks as his body was laid to rest.
