Dale Howard Smith, age 73 of Blair, passed away at his home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 6 at 11 a.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Visitation will be held Monday, February 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dale Howard Smith, age 73 of Blair, passed away on January 31, 2024 at his home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Visitation will be held Monday, February 5 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.

Dale was born October 8, 1950, in Decatur, Nebraska, the son of James Lawrence and Phyllis Elaine (Phelps) Smith. Dale was raised on a farm in Decatur, the oldest of five brothers. He graduated from Decatur High School and then attended College for a year at Wayne State. Dale earned his union card and then started his career at M&S Grading before working for McArdle Grading Company as a foreman until his retirement. Dale loved playing euchre, poker and pinochle with his friends and family.

Dale is survived by his wife Janet of Blair; sons: Brian (Alison) Smith, Jayme Smith, and Randy (Alisa) Smith; stepdaughters Jennifer (Mike) Christensen and Sandra (Tavis) Trujillo; 12 grandchildren, one great grandson; brothers: Calvin (Susie) Smith and Roger Smith; sister-in-law Peggy Smith; along with nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Keith Smith and Ted Smith; and grandsons Cash and Lawrence Chesson.
