While in the act of unloading a car of western hay at Nickerson on Thursday afternoon, Iler Jensen had the misfortune of figuring in a horrible accident which led to his untimely death.

His horses became frightened by a freight train and when Mr. Jensen tried to stop them from running away they threw him against the moving train. His head was badly cut and he was hurried to Fremont where medical attention was given him. But his wound proved fatal and he died at Fremont at a hospital at about eight-thirty o'clock on Thursday evening.

Mr. Jensen was a prosperous young farmer occupying the farm north of here owned by Mrs. Christian Sick, of Sterling, Neb. His wife was formerly Miss Bertha Hahn, of Nickerson. He is survived by his wife and three young children and several brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held at the Danish Lutheran church at Fremont last Sunday at one-thirty p.m. He was buried in Saunders county by the side of his parents. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire famnily in this their sad hour of bereavement.
