Ronald “Honk” Eugene Jenkins, age 86 of Blair, passed away at his home February 17, 2024. Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 21, 2024, at 2:00PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Military graveside services will follow in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday February 20, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.

Ron was born August 10, 1937, in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of William and Edith Jenkins.

After his high school graduation Ron joined the United States Navy and served on the USS Oriskany.

On December 21, 1956, he was united in marriage to Luella Mae Gutschow at the Methodist Church in Blair.

Over the years Ron worked in sales in the construction industry and then for Cargill up until his retirement in 2020. Ron had a lifelong passion for fishing and took several fishing trips over the years, including his annual fishing trip with fellow veterans. He played in multiple golf leagues and in his younger years enjoyed hunting. Ron truly loved spending his time outdoors with nature.

He is survived by his children: Dan (Vickie) Jenkins, Cindy (Chris) Montez, Jeff (Patti) Jenkins, and Ann (John) Karls; nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Judy Jenkins. He was preceded in death by his wife Luella Mae, parents, brothers: Bill and Wayne Jenkins and great granddaughters: Charlee and Chloe. Memorials may be directed to the Blair Rescue Squad.
