Minnie Jessen Rites Sunday

Funeral services for 60=Year-Old Mrs. Minnie C. Jessen of Omaha, who died Last Thursday in an Omaha hospital, were held Sunday at First Methodist Church in Blair, the Rev. Melvin Ireland officiating. Burial followed in Blair Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Pete Weber, Lars Weber, Milo Petersen, Darlow Rogert, William Andersen and Chris Andersen.

Minnie Christine Ziegler, the daughter of Julius and Margaret Ziegler, was born January 20, 1893 at Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska, the oldest of eight children. She spent her childhood on farms near Herman, Rose Hill and Fort Calhoun, then came to Blair with her parents.

She and John P. Jessen were married June 28, 1920. The Jessens lived in Blair, Kennard and Onawa, Iowa, and went to Omaha 14 years ago.

Mrs. Jessen is survived by her husband, John P. Jessen; one son, Russell Jessen; a brother, William Ziegler of Blair; five sisters, Mrs. William Hunt and Miss Margaret Ziegler, both of Blair; Mrs. Melvin Ackerman of Herman, Nebraska, whose husband was killed in a tractor mishap June 14, Mrs. R. O. Martin of Altoona, Iowa, and Mrs. Clarence Gummus of Stanton, Nebraska.

The Bendorf Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
