Carole Lynn Leptien Lallman was born in Omaha, Nebraska on June 27, 1937. She spent her childhood in Blair and Mountain Home Arkansas. Lynn graduated from Blair High School in 1955. She lived in Fremont, Nebraska where she received a cosmetology degree. She met the love of her life Dean Lallman and they married, January 18, 1956. They farmed 52 years in rural Arlington, Nebraska until Dean died in a tragic farming accident in April 2008, At that point, she grieved that half of her was now gone. They truly were an example of two becoming one. In February of 2010, she suffered a near fatal stroke, leaving her paralyzed and with severe communication challenges. She resided at Brookstone Village in Omaha for 14 years until the time of her death, March 25, 2024.

Lynn loved farm life. Horses were her passion. Lynn adored being part of a rural community. Nothing tickled her more than pulling pranks on her kids and grandkids, trying so hard to contain her infectious laughter. Gardening and plants were not only a hobby, but provision for her family. She was a wonderful cook for family and friends. You could always find cookies in the freezer. She enjoyed babies so much and was so happy when grandchildren came to the farm where she could teach them about life on the farm, and rock them to sleep. Lynn’s most amazing quality was her great love of family and friends. She cherished people and friendships. She opened her home willingly to others, hosting joyfully every opportunity she could. She happily checked in on friends, neighbors, and relatives even when phone bills were per minute. It was important to her that people knew she cared. She took the time to sit and listen to others when they came over or on the phone. People mattered to her. She followed the example of Mary who intently sat at Jesus’s feet, listening to his every word.

Lynn is preceded in death by her husband Dean Lallman, an infant Daughter, her parents William and Geneva Leptien, numerous relatives and a host of wonderful friends who have went on before her.

She is survived by her children; Curt Lallman (Becky) of Omaha, Lisa Lallman Swanson (Scott) of Savannah, Georgia and Wayne Lallman (Angela) of Omaha. Grandchildren; Andrea Swanson Smith (Tim) of Savannah, Georgia, Brandon Swanson of Morro Bay, California, Logan Swanson (Rachel Justice) of Truesdale, Missouri, Grace Lallman Jensen (Derek) of Omaha, Dr. Hollister Swanson (Dr. Madeline Ross) of Kansas City, Missouri, Dr. Joshua Lallman (Dr. Justine Sebede) of Omaha, Rachel Lallman Wright (Ben) of Omaha, Elise Swanson Boudouris (Dean) of Orlando, Florida, Luke Lallman (Callahan Netsch) of Houston, Texas, Emma Lallman of Omaha, Samuel Lallman (Kurumi Kinoshita) of Omaha and Olivia Lallman of Omaha. Great grandchildren: Bryant Swanson, Westin Swanson, Cora Jensen, Asher Jensen, Emery Smith, Declan Jensen, Micah Jensen, Zoe Wright, Landry Lallman, and more babies on the way. Her suffering is over, her joy is complete as she is in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus and all those she loved so deeply.
