MRS. PETER CHRISTENSEN LAID TO REST SUNDAY

A large number of sorrowing relatives and friends were in attendance at the funeral services of Mrs. Peter Christensen last Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Christensen lived one mile south of Blair, and leaves a husband and an adopted son, Fred, to mourn her demise. Short services were held at the home at two o'clock led by Rev. Andersen, and from there the cortege went to the Danish Lutheran church in Dexterville where every available seat was filled with sympathetic neighbors and friends to hear the most comfortable sermon by Rev. A.M. Anderson rendered first in Danish and then in the English language.

In the obituary read, we find that Miss Petra Petersen was born in Denmark and came to America over twenty years ago when she was married in Omaha to Peter Christensen. They moved to Orum, Lincoln township, where they resided happily together for sixteen years and in 1913 moved to Blair. They adopted Freddie Jensen at the age of six years and he has grown to young manhood and he now loses a kind and loving mother and friend. The deepest sympathy of all is extended to the grief stricken husband and son in the loss of this good wife and mother.
