Peggy was born to Roy and Josie Rutledge in Herman, Neb., on December 3, 1925 and left this earthly world on April 13, 2024, at 98 years, 4 months and 10 days.

The family moved to Oakland, Neb., where she completed high school in 1943. During her high school years, she met Jay Rennerfeldt and in 1946 they were married. To this union four children were born: Carl, Jeanne, Marci and Sheri.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jay; parents Roy and Josie Rutledge; brother and sister-in-law David and Carol Rutledge; sister-in-law Virginia Rutledge; brother-in-law Charles Holt, brother and sister in laws, Jerry and Margaret, Harland and Sally Rennerfeldt, brother in laws Dallas and Jimmy Rennerfeldt.

Peggy is survived by children: son Carl (Marla) of Blair; daughters Jeanne Delaney of Papillion; Marci (Mark) Metzger of Papillion; and Sheri (Michael) Baum of Valley, Neb.; brother Bud Rutledge of Plainview, Neb.; and sister Mary Holt of Lincoln, sisters-in-law Maxine Newell and Marlene Rennerfeldt of Montana. Grandchildren: Susan (Brandon) Potter, Jon (Heather) Rennerfeldt, Chris (Marianne) Romaire, Scott (Tracy) Romaire, Tycha Peterson, Julie Thurston, Clete (Molly Clevenger) Baum, Drew (Kristeen) Baum and Joey (Nicole) Baum. Fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the First Methodist Church in Oakland, Neb., on June 29 at 10 a.m. with lunch at the Oakland Veteran’s Building followed by interment at Pioneer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family for the Pioneer Cemetery tree restoration.
