SERVICES HELD FOR HOWARD JENSEN

Services were Wednesday, September 21, at Arlington Community Church in Arlington for Howard L. Jensen, 79, of rural Arlington who died September 18, 1983 at his home.

Dr. Gene Laramy officiated. Burial was in the Arlington Cemetery.

Howard L. Jensen was born May 11, 1904, on a farm north of Fremont to Jens and Dorthea Johnson Jensen. He moved to Pierce County at the age of six and grew up at Plainview, returning to the Fremont area in 1927. He moved to a farm northeast of Arlington in 1958.

He was a mnember of the Arlington Community Church.

He married Helena Uterman on March 5, 1927.

He is survived by his wife, Helena; and two sons, Dr. Norman Jensen of Decatur, Illinois, and the Rev. Warren Jensen of Des Moines, Iowa. Three brothers, Carrol Jensen of Omaha; James Jensen of Plainview and Vernon Jensen of Plainview; five sisters, Mrs. John (Ada) Sorensen of Fremont, Mrs. Rachel Beeson of Plainview, Mrs. Lola Thorell of Wausa, Mrs. Esther Alexander of Plainview and Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) Holmes of Plainview; and nine grandchildren also survive him.

Pallbearers were Irvin McCaully, Robert Hoops, Dr. Terry Jensen, Ron Jensen, Robert Plugge, and James Sorensen.

Kay Voss was organist. Dr. and Mrs. Jack Cady provided the vocal music.

Memorials may be sent to the Arlington Community Church or to the Arlington Rescue Squad.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
